Our Story
Built on faith, community, hard work, and service.
Quasa Cattle Co. was founded on a simple belief: business should be about more than profit. It should be about people.

How It Began
The story began during Christmas break in 2025. Co-founders Kenny Bell and Luke Stepney were home from college and had the opportunity to meet with one of their longtime mentors, Mr. Hatchet. He invited them to tour Brickyard, an organization dedicated to helping startup companies turn ideas into successful businesses. Knowing Kenny and Luke's passion for entrepreneurship, he believed the experience would inspire them to think even bigger.
After an incredible day meeting entrepreneurs and learning from business leaders, Kenny and Luke headed to breakfast at one of their favorite local restaurants. On the way, they accidentally took a wrong turn and found themselves driving down the same street as the Chattanooga Foundation.
As Luke drove, Kenny looked over and said, "Pull in."
Without hesitation, Luke turned into the parking lot.
"This year, instead of doing something for ourselves, let's do something bigger than us. Let's feed people in need this Christmas."
— Kenny Bell
Luke was immediately on board.
Inside, they met a woman whose kindness and willingness to help made an immediate impact on them. They asked whether anyone was providing a Christmas meal. They were told that Christmas Day was already covered. So they asked another question:
"What about Christmas Eve lunch?"
The answer was no.
They then asked if they could provide a fully cooked Christmas Eve meal for those in need.
The answer was yes.

From an Idea to a Plan
Excited and inspired, Kenny and Luke left with a mission, but they quickly realized they had a challenge ahead of them. They had committed to feeding hundreds of people and had very little time to raise the money needed to make it happen.
So they got to work.
With the help of friends, family, and supporters, they raised enough money to provide a Christmas Eve meal for more than 200 people.

Christmas Eve began long before sunrise. At 3:00 a.m., the cooking started.

It took an entire team of volunteers to make it happen, and seeing the smiles, gratitude, and joy that day left a lasting impression on everyone involved.
That experience changed everything.

From One Meal to a Larger Mission
Kenny and Luke decided they wanted to make feeding families in need a yearly tradition. But they also realized that fundraising for hundreds of meals every year would be challenging.
So they asked themselves a simple question:
How can we feed more people while spending less money?
The answer was cattle.
If one cow could provide hundreds of pounds of beef, then one cow could help feed far more families than they had ever imagined.
A Conversation on the Farm
A few days later, while working on the farm with another longtime mentor, Mr. Lee, the conversation turned to the cattle industry. Mr. Lee had spent years in agriculture and understood exactly what it took to build a successful cattle operation.
After discussing the business, Kenny and Luke asked him a simple question:
"Would you be willing to start a new business with us?"
His answer was immediate:
"I'm willing to try anything. Let's do it."
From that moment forward, Quasa Cattle Co. was born.
Quasa Cattle Co. Today
Today, Quasa Cattle Co. is committed to providing high-quality beef to families throughout Hamilton County and the surrounding areas. More importantly, we remain committed to the mission that inspired our company in the first place: serving others.
As Quasa Cattle Co. grows, our goal is to donate at least one cow every year to help feed families in need during the holiday season.
